Some zombies will eat the brains fresh out of the skull, but for the more refined zombie, fried brains are best. This was last nights supper and it was blood stained lip smacking good.

I’ve been very busy lately trying hard to finish up a couple of web projects, top priority has been the website for J Martin Gilliam. It’s nearly done and will probably be my most detailed website to date. I’m really looking forward to launching it. On top of that I did an illustration for a zombie christmas poem, I’m working on a cover for a christmas zombie book, got the nod to do another cover for a zombie book and have been trying to get some commision work done. Busy busy busy, and looking for more.

The company iScream Productions and myself worked on a little project that has mostly been talk but finally got off the ground today. Together we are selling horror tshirts that promote the iScream brand and its various sub companies, like BuyZombie.com. Many of the tshirts will end up being my own drawings and designs, and like my site, most of them will be zombies. Much work being done, couple ads made for idrawzombies and buyzombie to be printed in some up coming zombie novels. Trying to finish off the website for the ultra talented J. Gilliam Martin, a zombie christmas image in the works and much much more. Hardly any time to spend on this site and give it the upgrade and attention it needs.

Today my daughter painted a zombie with a scratched out eye. And I thought it would be great to share her horrorific art with the world. So world … whatcha think?

I have been uber busy today cleaning house and setting up the boys’ room with 2 beds. My youngest zomblet is now out of the crib, out of my bedroom and on the loose. Big day for him, big headache for us. ( Us being my true master and I )

I don’t want to keep posting WIP images and since I have nothing fully finished yet I whipped up a quick little doodle while supper cooked and finished it off when the Zkids fell into unconsciousness. The end result isn’t too bad, the hair could use a bit of work but overall I think its one of my uglier zombies. And still working out the kinks on the loose pencil start as well.

I hope tomorrow is lots of rain so I can hide away in my dungeon and pump out some more images.

It’s a WIP and should look much better when painted, and quite possibly one of the last images you will see from me with that paticular freehand style of drawing. The loose pencils that I have been doing lately are producing much better results in my opinion, and since I’m drawing mostly to satisfy my own morbidity, that’s the only opinion that matters.

Besides, no one ever leaves a comment anyways

I have been too busy to do a contest this week, but I have one lined up to start on Tuesday next week.

Trying a new way of posting today, maybe it will speed things up for me and make updating the site a little less work. If not, then its back to the usual way tomorrow. What an exciting life I lead.

Above image was light pencils again and then I went to town on the inking. Really enjoying how this is turning out because it opens up a whole new realm of possibilities for me. I will color these with water colors in the coming days and then offer them up to someone, or give em away.

The old saying 1 in the hand is worth 2 in the bush changes when you add zombies to the mix. In this case its a zombie in the bush gets 2 to the head. It’s a rule as much as it should be a law … always double tap. If tv and movies have taught me anything, its that you never leave a baddie without making extra sure its dead.

TV also taught me not to believe everything I read.

Image was light pencils then I went to town on the inking part. Getting a bit more comfortable with this technique and its really allowing me to make a few less obvious mistakes yet keep the free flowing undead alive look. I’m also trying to up my game with bringing rot and decay to these undead rotting corpses. I might color this one later on down the road, but for now it’s getting laid to rest.

Much like the zombie featured above, i gots a wee little problem with my teef … and today 1 in paticular hurts like a MF! I made an appointent to get the little bastich pulled out next week. Should I keep it or throw it away … the question deserves some attention.

Now if I was a zombie I wouldn’t care because pain wouldn’t register and the tooth would probably fall out by itself the next time I chomped down on some poor schmucks frontal lobe. Another benifit to being a zombie is the amazing dental plan. Bite until you have nothing left to bite with, then gum em. Simple.

Been a busy day today with the zomBkids … warm weather makes them anxious to go outside and run amok causing chaos and unholy hell in my backyard. Then we have a big blue vat of chemically treated liquid that they jump into and writhe around in spastic joy … its craziness and nothing can stop it.

Nothing legal that is …

I trimmed up my beard, my goatee is about 3 inches long and nearly ready to braid. Any guesses as to who hates it the most?

Next week I will run a new contest … give away some more art so stay tuned.

I don’t normally like posting images I already posted, but I am about to embark on a new journey experimenting with a new techinique. I want to try going loose with the paint and then tighten things up with pens and additional paint later on. The above is the end result of what I started here.

Success? Maybe, but if nothing else at least a first step.
